A Nigeria-based conglomerate, Ingrace Multiple Concept Ltd, has launched a new operation in Canada. Incorporated in the province of Saskatchewan and with its head office in Regina, the new Canadian operation, Ingrace Canada Farms Ltd, will offer a range of farm produce including beef and cattle rearing, hay production, and micro-greens, through the company's greenhouse agriculture systems.
According to the owner and CEO, Mr. Chinedu Onu, "this expansion will allow us to take advantage of Canada's advanced technology in agribusiness as well as reliable infrastructure, and road and rail networks to expand to the North American market."
"We know that Canada has got what our agribusiness operation needs in order to move to the next level. Saskatchewan is known for its rich and fertile farmlands and this expansion will be mutually benefitial to both jurisdictions in terms of job creation for Canadians and export/import of agricultural produce for Nigeria," Mr. Onu said.
The Nigeria-based operation will continue to offer products and services in agricultural engineering and mechanization, land preparation equipment and services, irrigation engineering services and equipment, food processing equipment and machinery. It will also continue to offer arrays of agro-professional training and conferencing, skill development, vocational training, and agro-investment consultancy.
